Recipe: Isaiah’s Special Kale

I don’t really need to tell you to eat more kale do I? I can show you some simple and fast ways to enjoy it more, or at all if you don’t already. So super good for you! I prefer it to any lettuce. Lettuce wilts so quickly. Not only is kale easy to grow, it lasts longer in the fridge! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to throw away lettuce because I didn’t use it fast enough. And I HATE wasting food! Eat it raw too. In the meanwhile, here’s a yummy way to cook it. Go drier and hotter if you like a little browning on the edges.

Ingredients

  • 1 Bunch Kale
  • Olive Oil
  • Garlic Salt

Instructions

Rinse your kale in a colander. Break it up into pieces approximately 2.5″ squares. Pour light layer of olive oil in pan, sprinkle in garlic salt, add kale and saute. Let kale get a little dry and crunchy but not burned. Add small drops of water to keep from sticking. Add more water if you want your kale softer like steamed.

Kale is high in Vitamins A, K and C – high mean well over 100% the DV! Have as much as you want. Serve as side or on top of quinoa, kasha, wild rice or your favorite grain. Feel it nourish your cells. Enjoy!
